the shoe named for the race. speedland's RX:LDVL is their hyper-performance platform built for long days on rough trail, and it does the thing their line is known for: pull the rigid carbon plate and the drop-in midsole out and it's a daily trainer, drop them back in and it's race equipment. boa fit with a reverse velcro back strap locks the foot down in two zones so nothing moves when the terrain gets loose. atpu foam and a feathercast outsole with 3.5mm lugs underneath. one thing to know going in: the removable midsole means it won't take a custom insole, so if you run orthotics this isn't the one. $299 direct from speedland.
